This page contains all of the information necessary to know how to use the fruit-fly app. Each page has its own section, so simply find the area you're confused on and read all about it!
If you have never used fruit-fly before, scroll down to the "Sign up" section of the login page and enter a username and password. Once you click the "Join" button, a status message will appear. If the status is good, you are good to login. If the status is bad, try entering a different username or password.
If you already have an account, you will be able to enter your account information into the "Log in" section. If your information is good, you will be redirected to the homepage. If, for some reason, you fail to login, double-check that you spelled all of your information correctly, and make sure that you did actually create an account.
The homepage is where you can view posts from the people you're following, as well as your own. If you just created a new account, there might not be anything on your homepage. In this case, you can either make your own posts or use the search bar to look for people to follow.
There are also three buttons in the top right corner of the page. The house with wings button is greyed out, showing that you are currently on the homepage. The fly button navigates you to your profile page, and the egg button takes you to a page where you can make a new post.
On your profile, page, you can see all of the information relating to your profile. This includes your profile picture and banner. If you haven't customized your profile yet, these will be set to a default picture. You can also see your number of followers, the number of people you're following, your profile bio, and any posts that you've made.
In the top right corner, there is a button shaped like a house with wings which will return you to the homepage. The fly button should be greyed out, showing that you are currently on your profile page. And, the egg button will take you to a page to make a new post. There is also an "Edit Profile" button which take you to page to edit your profile information. And, there is a "Log out" button which will log you out and return you to the login page.
On this page, you can change the features of your profile. You can write a new bio, upload a new profile picture, and upload a new banner. Enter the new information, and press "Update Profile" when you're ready.
In the top right corner, the fly button will return you to your profile. The house with wings button will return you to the homepage.
To create a new post, simply enter the text of your post into the box. You can choose to add an image, but this is optional. Then, you can select the lifespan of your post, or how long you want it to last. Finally, press the "Submit" button. This will redirect you to your profile, where you can now see the post you just made.
